The God of gods, the Mighty Lord Himself, has spoken! He shouts out over all the people of the earth in every brilliant sunrise and every beautiful sunset, saying, “Listen to Me!
God’s glory-light shines out of the Zion-realm with the radiance of perfect beauty. With the rumble of thunder He approaches; He will not be silent, for He comes with an earsplitting sound! All around Him are furious flames of fire, and preceding Him is the dazzling blaze of His glory.
Here He comes to judge His people! He summons His court with heaven and earth as His jury, saying, “Gather all my lovers, my godly ones whose hearts are one with Me—those who have entered into My holy covenant by sacrifices upon the altar.”
And the heavens declare His justice; “God Himself will be their judge, and He will judge them with righteousness!”
“Listen to Me, O My people! Listen well, for I am your God! I am bringing you to trial and here are My charges. Psalm 50:1-7
There is such urgency from the heart of God in this scripture for His people to listen. This is not a “still small voice” that He is whispering to your heart. Verse three of this chapter says in The Message, “Our God makes His entrance, He’s not shy about His coming. Starburst of fireworks precede Him.” He is making quite a show, with “the rumble of thunder, earsplitting sounds, furious flames of fire and the dazzling blaze of His glory!” He is making a ruckus as He shouts to His people to “Listen”!
The Mighty Lord Himself is giving His people notice that He is bringing charges against us, and He wants us to know that He is serious.
S0, what are the charges?
“Why don’t you bring me the sacrifices I desire? Bring Me your true and sincere thanks, and show your gratitude by keeping your promises to Me, the Most High. Honor Me by trusting in Me in your day of trouble. Cry aloud to Me, and I will be there to rescue you.” Psalm 50:14-15 TPT
Our faith is being tested and God; commands, requests, instructs, invites, and directs us so that our faith will stand on “the good foundation, which is Jesus Christ.”
This is an invitation to clearly hear Him in a time that we clearly need Him.
Psalm 78:9-12 gives us this example of the sons of Ephraim. “Though they were all equipped warriors, each with weapons, when the battle began they retreated and ran away in fear. They didn’t really believe the promises of God; they refused to trust Him and move forward in faith. They forgot His wonderful works and the miracles of the past, even their exodus from Egypt, the epic miracle of His might. They forgot the glories of His power at the place of passing over.”
Ephesians 6:10-18 gives us specific instructions on how to equip ourselves to stand in the day of battle. We need to put on the “full armor of God” that God provides for us. We need to “be supernaturally infused with strength through our life-union with the Lord Jesus.” “For we are destined for all things, and will rise victorious.”
God longs so deeply for His kids to trust Him and to believe that “He who started a good work will be faithful to complete it!” He is most certainly trustworthy and we honor Him when we trust Him in days of trouble, hence; we dishonor Him when we fail to believe and trust Him and then fall into fear and doubt.
We are “at the place of passing over” and I do not want to be standing with the sons of Ephraim who “turned away from faith and walked away in fear; they failed to trust in His power to help them when He was near.” Ps. 78:22 TPT So, I purpose to stand on the truth of His Word, the nature of His heart and the things He has entrusted to me, so that when I stand before Him, “He knows where I am and what I’ve done. He can cross-examine me all He wants, and I’ll pass the test with honors. Job 23:10 (But He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold. NKJ)
The Lord is cleansing, purifying and directing His own first, “Next, God calls up the wicked.” Ps 50:16
The quality of materials used by anyone building on this foundation will soon be made apparent, whether it has been built with gold, silver, and costly stones, or wood, hay, and straw. Their work will soon become evident, for the Day will make it clear, because it will be revealed by blazing fire! And the fire will test and prove the workmanship of each builder. If his work stands the test of fire, he will be rewarded. 1 Cor. 3:12-1

2 things…practice to and abide in His rest…and in that place He can defeat our/His enemies….I believe this is a great ignorance of believers…their are 2 natures …Love and Hate…2 kingdoms…this must be taught/realized by the body…deeper understanding…open our eyes Lord…and teach us to abide….
