THE COMING OF THE CLOUD RIDER WHOSE NAME IS YAH!

And pulsing from the throne were blinding flashes of lightning, crashes of thunder, and voices. Revelation 4:5

The Lord asked me, “Peggy, what does My Glory look like?” My mind went in one direction but then He began to speak to me through His Word.

In Exodus 19:11, the Lord told Moses to tell the people to “be ready by the third day, because on the third day the Lord will come down on Mount Sinai (in the cloud) in the sight of all the people.”

“So Moses went down from the mountain to the people and sanctified them (for God’s sacred purpose). He said to the people, “Be prepared for the third day.” Exodus 19:14-15

So it happened on the third day, when it was morning, that there were thunder and flashes of lightning, and a thick cloud was on the mountain, and a very loud blast was sounded on a ram’s horn, so that all the people who were in the camp trembled.  Exodus 19:16

Mount Sinai was wrapped in smoke because the Lord descended upon it in fire; its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked violently. And it happened, as the blast of the ram’s horn grew louder and louder, Moses spoke and God answered him with (a voice) of thunder.

The Lord came down on Mount Sinai, to the top of the mountain; and the Lord called Moses to the top of the mountain and he went up. Exodus 19:18-20

Now all the people witnessed the thunder and the flashes of lightning and the sound of the trumpet and the smoking mountain; and as they looked, the people were afraid, and they trembled (and moved backward) and stood at a (safe) distance.

Then they said to Moses, “You speak to us and we will listen, but do not let God speak to us or we will die.”

Mosses said to the people, “Do not be afraid; for God has come in order to test you, and in order that the fear of Him (that is, a profound reverence for Him) will remain with you, so that you do not sin.”

So the people stood at a (safe) distance, but Moses approached the thick cloud where God was. Exodus 20:18-21

God Most High, the Creator of Everything wanted to reveal Himself to His chosen people, but He did not come in a way that was comfortable for them and they were terrified!

God’s power and glory does not look like anything we can comprehend and if we don’t know the heart of God it can make us tremble. Although God’s glory can come in comfortable ways, the truth is it also comes in the form of shaking, thunder, lightning, fire and dark smoke.

The Israelites stood trembling, terrified of the God that had loved them and protected them. They refused to approach Him or hear Him. But Moses had prepared himself, he spent so much time with the Lord that when he turned from the people, he turned toward the Lord and walked into the cloud. Because he knew the heart of God he was not intimidated or afraid.

It is so critical that we know our Lord on a very personal, intimate level. It is not enough to just say the words of salvation and go to church on Sundays. Keeping a “safe” distance, doing “just enough”. Get yourself ready! Prepare yourselves in the secret place with the lord, and “do not be hasty to go from His presence.” Ecclesiastes 8:3

Don’t miss the power and glory of our Lord because it doesn’t look like you think it should! Listen–He’s calling in thunder, rumbling, rolling thunder. Psalm 68:33 When you know and love the heart of God, you will welcome the thunder and lightening and you will approach the thick cloud where God is!

God is coming in His Mighty power and glory, and “We’ve never seen anything like this before!”  Therefore, MY people will know the power of My name, and they will know in that day that I am the One who promised them, saying, “Behold, I am here!” Isaiah 52:6 My people will see the awesome glory of Yahweh, the beautiful grandeur of our God. Isaiah 35:2

Let all your godly lovers be glad! Yes, let them all rejoice in your presence and be carried away with gladness. Let them laugh and be radiant with joy! Let them sing their celebration-songs for the coming of the cloud rider whose name is Yah! Psalm 68:3-4

O Lord, it was You who marched in front of Your people, leading them through the wasteland. The earth shook beneath Your feet; the heavens filled with clouds before the presence of the God of Sinai. The sacred mountain shook at the sight of the face of Israel’s God. Psalm 68:7-8
