“Let’s have a party! Come and celebrate with me the return of my lost lamb. It wandered away, but I found it and brought it home.” Luke 15:6
The Lord woke me up three times throughout the night, saying very firmly, “Prepare the fattened calf!”
This is a two-fold meaning, in the physical and the spiritual. Prodigal sons and daughters are coming home soon and they are returning to the Lord!
I am with you now even close to you, so never yield to fear. I will bring your children from the east, from the west I will gather you. I will say to the north, “Hand them over!’ and to the south, ‘Don’t hold them back!’ Bring Me My sons from far away, My daughters from the ends of the earth! Bring Me everyone who is called by My name, the ones I created to experience My glory. I Myself formed them to be who they are and made them for My glory.”’ Isaiah 43:5-7
When the glory falls it will so overtake God’s people that they will not be able to turn away or refuse Him. He promises that, “I will pour out My Spirit on your children, My blessing upon your descendants. They will spring up like grass blanketing a meadow, like poplars growing by gushing streams. One will say, “I belong to Yahweh.” Another will be called Jacob. Yet another will write on his hand “Property of Yahweh.” Another will adopt the name Israel.” Isaiah 44:3-5
When the Prodigal son in Luke 15 returned home, the father did not bring up his past or hold it against him. His desire for his son overpowered everything! He was so happy that his beloved son was home that he said to his servants, ‘Quickly bring out the best robe (for the guest of honor) and put it on him; and give him a ring for his hand, and sandals for his feet. Luke 15:22
And bring the fattened calf and slaughter it, and let us (invite everyone and) feast and celebrate; for this son of mine was (as good as) dead and is alive again; he was lost and has been found.’ So they began to celebrate. Luke 15:23-24 See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. 1 John 3:1
IT IS TIME! We are having a party! So then, prepare your hearts and minds for action! (We would say today, “Roll up your sleeves” or, “Fasten your seat belt!” TPT notes). 1 Peter 1:13Pull the robe out of the closet, grab the ring out of the box, and get the sandals! Prepare the fattened calf, for great rejoicing and celebration is upon you! Father God is bringing our kids home!
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in truth. 3 John 1:4
